Kea are said to be the smartest birds in the world. The way scientists test intelligence of birds, especially kea, got visiting French artists Louise Hervé and Chloé Maillet thinking. Louise and Chloé told Lynn Freeman, they are about to show us what they have produced after talking to researchers and visiting reserves and institutions in the Capital City.

Hervé and Maille are filmmakers, writers and performance artists who are in Wellington on the Te Whare Hera international residency with the College of Creative Arts, Massey University.
